| Overview
“The Divine Journey”
The Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, covering four divine shrines — Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple. This spiritually uplifting journey of 10 Days and 9 Nights begins from the holy city of Haridwar, known for its sacred Ganga Aarti and divine atmosphere.
The Yatra traditionally starts with Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River, followed by Gangotri, the origin of the holy Ganga. Pilgrims then proceed to Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva and nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas. The final destination is Badrinath, the sacred abode of Lord Vishnu, located along the banks of the Alaknanda River.
Throughout the journey, devotees witness breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, flowing rivers, lush valleys, and snow-capped peaks. The pilgrimage involves scenic drives, short treks, temple rituals, and spiritual ceremonies. Comfortable accommodations and organised travel arrangements ensure a smooth and fulfilling experience.
The Char Dham Yatra is not just a religious tour but a life-changing spiritual expedition that strengthens faith, purifies the soul, and offers inner peace amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
| Best time to visit:-
Summer: Chardham Yatra is good during the summer season from April to mid-June. The calm and pleasant summer sun and evening make the trek more pleasant.
Monsoon: In monsoon, the drive and trek route is muddy and slippery. It is better to avoid risky places when trekking in this season.
Spring: The spring month from mid-September to early November is considered the best time to Chardham Yatra. Yatra is fun with lush greenery all around and calm weather.
Winter: Chardham can’t be possible in winter due to the closing of the temple and snowy weather conditions.
