| Overview

Mount Deo Tibba at an imposing height of 6,001 m is the second highest peak of the Pir Panjal range in the Kullu Valley. Located southeast of Manali above the village of Jagatsukh, Deo Tibba is considered by the locals to be the gathering place of all the gods, who are believed to gather and sit atop this peak to discuss matters of utmost importance!

The climb starts from Manali’s backpacker hub and qualifies as a serious mountaineering expedition with two vertical ice gorges and an ice cap on the way to the top. The drive to the base camp of this magnificent peak takes you through the most beautiful terrain of massive meadows with the most beautiful arrangement of colourful wildflowers, panoramic views of the entire mountain range and clouds that put on a dramatic show all over the world. trail. As the vegetation begins to thin, you enter a landscape of rocks, moraines and slowly appearing snow that completely covers the entire surface of the mountain in no time.

There are sections in the climb that require technical know-how as they involve navigating vertical ice gorges. These 60-70 degree slopes require the use of fixed ropes and some climbing equipment to get through. Due to its challenging terrain and expedition style of trekking, the Mt. Deo Tibba is designed for experienced hikers with prior knowledge of mountaineering techniques such as using ice axes, crampons and ropes. This expedition is ideal for all aspiring climbers who want to reach 6000m+ and want to go higher in the near future. Stay on this page for everything you need to know about expedition Mt. Deo Tibba, including route map, itinerary, temperature chart, photos, videos and reviews.
