Climb For Beginners Adrenaline Rush

The Kedarkantha Trail remains cool due to heavy winter snowfall – from December to April! Say hello to your first glimpse of snow as you reach 10,000 feet, and from there, well, it’s summer paradise without AC.
Its picturesque campsites are ones that other trekkers would love to see if they could!

While there are a large number of treks and camps in the Himalayas, the Kedarkantha trek, in our opinion, takes the cake in terms of sheer beauty and scenic awesomeness. Both the camps – Juda-Ka-Talab Camp and Kedarkantha Base Camp – are breathtakingly beautiful in their own way. The Kedarkantha base is situated in a vast snow-covered meadow surrounded by winter whites with distant snow-capped peaks almost surrounding it, while the Juda-Ka-Talab camp is located in the epicenter of huge pine trees towering high with all their might. The journey is as beautiful as the destination.

The drive to Kedarkanth is easily one of the most stunning and beautiful routes in the country. It will take you through the most beautiful locations which include Mussoorie, Nowgaon, Purola, Mori, and Naitwar. Undoubtedly, this lesser-known route is a treat for sore eyes and therefore the Kedarkantha trek needs no convincing at all.

The view at Kedarkantha Trekking has almost no rivals.

Right from the base camp, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the famous mountains and a picturesque landscape that will leave you in awe. Reach the top and it’s like being on top of the world with the beauty of nature in all its glory waiting to be enjoyed.

Best time to visit:-

Summer:   Kedarkantha is best during the summer season from April to mid-June. The calm and pleasant summer sun makes the trek more pleasant. Light wool is recommended.

Monsoon:  In monsoon, the trek route is muddy and slippery. It is better to avoid risky places trekking in this season.

Spring: The spring month from mid-September to early November is considered the best time to trek Kedarkantha. Trekking is fun with lush greenery all around and calm weather.

Winter:  In the winter season, this is the best trek to do, they call it the winter trek and  Heavy woolen clothing and boots are a must for trekking in winter.

  • The magic of the Kedarkantha trail begins to unfold as you climb higher. The higher you go, the better the scenic landscapes.  After about half an hour of walking, we reach the first open clearing of the Kedarkantha trek, and here you can rest for a while. At this point, you are at an altitude of 8,100 feet and are in the middle of your journey to Juda-ka-Talab. They are frozen in winter, but otherwise, you could refresh yourself and catch water here. • The peak of Kedarkantha is notable for a series of stones in a square shape with a mounted Trishul pointing upwards. This high peak gives you a 360-degree view of the majestic snow-capped mountains of Uttarakhand.
  • Along the way, you will see small clearings every half hour, which are a unique feature of the Kedarkantha trail and a rarity in the Himalayan mountains.

  • There are many other ways to get there. We will continue our descent until we reach the pine forest and find a place that will help you get to GMVN.
